Spring Cleaning Time for Bamboo Furniture

Each change of season we recommend giving your bamboo table tops a spruce up with a light coating of wood oil as demonstrated in our 'How To' video over on our Facebook page here.

Bamboo has such a natural, rich colour that really makes your furniture stand out and look lush too. However, the only way to keep it looking this great is with a regular application of wood oil each change in season. This is literally a 10 minute job and very easy to do too...

Here's our recommendation as shown in our quick demonstration video:

1. Wipe down your table with a soft cloth and ensure it is completely dry before you start.
2. Using an edge paint application sponge, apply wood oil to the edges of the lamellas (between the gaps) and around the table.
3. Using a soft cloth, apply wood oil to the surface of the table.
4. Within 5 minutes of application, use a clean, dry rag to wipe down the table ensuring there is no excess oil.

We use WOCA Exterior Wood Oil which is specifically formulated in Denmark to protect your table and chair armrests from mould or fungi. This is a quick and easy process but helps protect your table against New Zealand’s unique warm and wet conditions.
